Welcome to Ubuntu Village. I am Michele Mitchell, a woman with a dream to help our families and communities become sustainable, self-reliant, and an example of organic global cooperation. While I created the concept years ago, I have finally taken my experience as an office manager to work hand in hand with Badru and the Kids in Kalisizo, Uganda as our first outreach. I am passionate in this and wish for all in my African family to have the chance to reach their highest potential, as a see everyone as a seed of their highest potential.
Earth Deeds offers innovative online tools for users to “onset” the social cost of their carbon footprints and support sustainability projects of their choice. We help ecologically-minded groups and individuals give back to the Earth and become “carbon conscious” by 1) measuring the carbon footprints of their activities and events, 2) raising funds to acknowledge their impacts, 3) efficiently distributing these funds to small, local sustainability projects of their choosing, and 4) receiving a Carbon Conscious Certification and promote their efforts
Sustainability Park Istra is currently creating a space of cooperation and innovation, a supportive environment for research, education and active practice of sustainable development. It is forming a model of sustainability in practice with the involvement of competent individuals and organisations. This model will be transferable to other locations in Slovenia and abroad. The Park is growing from amazing potentials of the region in Istria along the border between Slovenia and Croatia. The park relies on the work of many creative people designing a model of sustainable future society.
